The very talented pianist and composer Margin Alexander held a concert in which he presented 12 musical compositions he created in response 12 artworks that inspired him.
Among those 12 artworks was my painting "The Night Opens the Flowers in Secret".
Margin discovered my painting and invited me to be part of this concert. Being a musician myself, it is so special to have another musician feel music from a painting I’ve created. I was even more touched after I heard the music that he created for this work. It is perfect and I understand it.
It was a beautiful concert featuring artists from all over the world. All of the art was beautiful and unique, and each musical composition he created was as well.
Here’s more about Margin: The composer is deeply sensitive to shapes, colors and visual effects. This type of synesthesia has always made him hear music, timbres, sounds and other aural cues. His work has been shared both digitally and on live stage performances such as Carnegie Hall, Symphony Hall, Opera America, MAMAC Museum of Nice, Zodiac Festival, and BLA Grand Prize. “My life mission is to get my inner musical fountain
pour all over people’s hearts"
