The Golden Hour IV, Original Painting
This original mixed media piece is part of my "Golden Hour" mini series. This is an original hand painted piece by me. Each painting is unique and captures the soul of the garden on a Midsummer Evening.
After spending a summer evening in my garden, I returned to my little studio full of so much inspiration! I just had to paint the sunflowers that were in full bloom! I have lots of old mixed media paper, some watercolor paper, and this beautiful handmade paper in my studio so I thought it would be fun to create the same scene on several different substrates and with different types of techniques for each. They turned out so sweet and they make me smile and they make me smile. I hope they will do the same for you!
To create this particular painting, I used watercolors, paint, inks and pen. This was painted onto archival watercolor paper that I then placed onto a wooden subtrate.
Beautifully rustic for your cottage or farmhouse decor.
This piece can be hung by a small nail to offer an intimate and intentional moment in your home, or placed on a shelf or ledge.
