The Fairy Tree

A beautiful fairy maiden visits her temple, the tree of life on a moonlit evening. The moon drips gold drops of love to the soil below. This piece includes real leaves, flowers, and plants that I foraged and pressed. Maple and oak leaves, buttercups, wildflowers and queen anne's lace all dance and play under the moonlight together. I also used mica from stones that I gathered while hiking in the mountains and sprinkled that into the scene -- real fairy glitter! The frame is hand painted in a magical copper that has a bit of shimmer.

I also used my photography to create this magical scene. I incorprated a photograph of an amazing tree I found in the mountains and then also added vintage photos and other elements to create the tree scene. Then I image transferred that into this collage. It was fun to use my photography again in my work!

It's always a magical and fun experience to create these scenes. I love that each one is unique and has it's own story to tell. This will certainly bring some magic of the natural world and tree spirits to your home!
